Ally Sheedy

Alexandra Elizabeth Sheedy (born June 13th, 1962) is an American actress. After her debut on film during the 1983 film Bad Boys she became known for her role in the Brat Pack group of actors and starred in WarGames (1983) The Breakfast Club (1985) and Short Circuit (1986). Her performance on Lisa Cholodenko's High Art (1998) Sheedy was awarded an Independent Spirit Award for Best Female lead. Ally Sheedy was born in the US and is a performer and an author. In the early 80s, she started her career in film with the crime thriller Bad Boys. She was well-received for this film. The film was starring Rick Rosenthal as well as Sean Penn, Esai Morales Clancy Brown & Alan Ruck. The film's first big success was the catalyst for her to make an appearance in The Breakfast Club, a comedy-drama in 1985. John Hughes' film, written by him, is considered to be one of history's greatest high-school films. Even though the budget for this film was only $1 million, the film has earned more than $50 million. The actress also appeared on various television programs, such as CBS Schoolbreak. This was her first TV appearance. It was a show designed for teens and aired beginning in April 1980. Chicago Story Big City Samuels and the Kid and Hill Street Blues were some other TV shows she appeared in. Recent appearances by Sheedy are Little Sister as well as X-Men Apocalypse, a movie that tells the story of a hero, in which Sheedy appears as a guest. Sheedy won numerous prizes in 2005 for her performances. She also was honored an MTV Movie Award, Silver Bucket of Excellence Award.
